Location: Shreveport, LA

Start Date: 10/12/2026

Scheduled End: 01/11/2027

Shift: Night (3x12-Hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Hours/Week: Full-time

Employment Type: Travel/Temporary

Licensure/Certs: RN License, ACLS, BLS, PALS

Experience: 1+ year in Pediatric ICU or similar setting

Hourly Pay: $70.35/hr

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care for pediatric patients in a busy ICU environment
• Monitor and manage ventilators, IV pumps, cardiac monitors, and other specialized equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans and emergency responses
• Educate and support families throughout the patient's care journey
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately
• Assist with emergency procedures and critical care interventions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols

What You Need

• RN license in Louisiana or willing to obtain
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU or similar critical care experience
• Proficiency with ventilators, IV pumps, cardiac monitoring, and essential pediatric equipment

• Experience with high-frequency oscillatory vents, EEG ICP & BIS monitoring, EVD systems
• Flexibility to work holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) and Emergency Team duties

About the Assignment Work at a leading pediatric unit in Shreveport, LA, delivering critical care to pediatric patients with complex needs. The unit averages five patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, and requires rotating weekend coverage. This role involves caring for children with respiratory, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions, utilizing advanced monitoring and therapeutic equipment. You may be assigned to emergency response teams, where your adaptability and quick decision-making will be essential.
